A conventional stockless pivoting fluke Hall Anchor. Introduced in 1885, the low profile design of Hall Anchors made for ease of use allowing for smooth retraction into a ship’s hawsepipe and they quickly became the most widely used primary bower anchor for commercial vessels and large ships.
